When you finally reach the end of a day's shooting the director calls, 'That's a wrap.'

It simply means: that's it for today, we're finished and we can all go home. It's also used to mean that something is completed, examples: we wrapped the movie - we completed all the shooting, we should be wrapped on the final cut by Tuesday - editing on the final version of the film should be completed by next Tuesday.
